Instagram.

My most favorite felt tip pens that I use every day! They have their own pencil case.

Wonderful display at my local Chapters. Love it!
Lazy Sundays with my family. I like how my hubby is the only one who pays any attention to me :P
The other evening Chris and I went for a walk, and it was lovely. This is the sign that tells you where we live.
I made double chocolate banana muffins and they were scrumptious! I ate two while I was reading my book.
My first manicure with my Hunger Games nail polish. These shades = Smoke & Ashes and Riveting
The weekend was so warm!
I love me some popcorn.
Jasmine (@lavendersgreen) and I had a disagreement over whose bathroom is uglier. I think I win. Washing machine 5 inches away from the toilet, burn marks on the ugly counter top, and a bathtub that is a foot deep. Useless.
I recently bought some lemons and have been enjoying them in my ice water. One of the most refreshing things ever? I think so.
I organized my pantry today! I took everything out of the cupboards and rearranged them so that like things were together. Then I moved some of the things that we use more often to the open shelves. I think it makes more sense.
Happy Tuesday! I hope you're having a lovely day!

A letter to you!

Dear friend,

How are you? I'm doing alright. Spring has come very quickly to Manitoba, and all the snow we got over February (the only month we had snow, pretty much) is now gone!

This was a week ago...
This was yesterday!
This nice weather makes me want to do spring cleaning. Yes, we haven't been living in this house for a year yet, but I feel like there is always something that can be cleaned or organized or a project that could be done. I walked through my house a couple weeks ago and wrote down every project in every room that I wanted to finish. 32 items later, I think it's safe to say I'll have a busy spring ahead.

My job isn't going so great these days. I only get 16 hours a week (which is up from 10 - yay!) which is not enough. I had a job interview yesterday, which will be my third in 7 months and a hundred job applications. Some facts: I was nervous. I hate interviews. 120 people applied for the job, so I'm lucky I even got called. It was just a first interview, so we'll see if I even get called for another interview. I hate interviews. I need a full-time job desperately. Prayers are much appreciated.

Do any of you people in a relationship have fun date ideas? And I don't mean dates in theory - I mean dates that you actually do. Chris has been so busy with school that we haven't had much time for dates, and when we do we're in a bit of a rut. I'd like to do something different!

1 more week until the Hunger Games movie is out! I'm so excited!!! I'm going with my sister and our friend next Saturday. We don't dare face the theater on Friday evening. Scary idea!

This weekend is going to be pretty low-key. I have no plans for tonight. Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be singing on the worship team, so that leaves Sunday afternoon free. No plans for then either. Maybe I'll see what my friends are doing - we have to take advantage of this beautiful weather!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend as well, my friends!

Fill in the blank Friday 3.4

Play along at Lauren's

1.  My favorite room in my home is    the living room   because    it's where Chris and I hang out the most .

2.   My current decor style is    undefined... probably cozy, a little bit rustic, and colorful   but I wish it were more     refined .

3.  I wish I could redecorate the    bathroom   room in my house to make it more    up to date. And I want to put a bigger tub in there!

4. My dream house absolutely has to have a    a nice deep bathtub in a master bathroom. I love a nice long soak .

5. One house item I am willing to splurge on is    the bed. A good mattress is critical!

6. A decor trend that I just don't "get" is    neon or plastic. Yuck .

7.   Pictures and art   are a little touch that makes my house feel like home.

I really enjoy Tim Tam slams! A friend introduced me to them years ago and they're just amazing.

A book that Chris made that would help me with our budget if I would actually use it
Two new books that I'm really excited to read once I finish the ones I'm currently reading!

A special day for my love.

Today is my husband's birthday! He's a quarter of a century! Haha I like to bug him, since he's a whole year older than me. In honour of this wonderful man, I've decided to write a list of things I love about him.

Our first couple picture!
He is sweet and thoughtful. When we first started dating he would buy me little presents to cheer me up when I was overwhelmed with homework. We often go to bookstores and libraries for dates, even though my interest in them is much greater than his. The other day he did every item on the "honey-do" list, even though I told him he didn't have to!

He is creative and artistic. He is studying to be a graphic designer, and he's doing very well in school! He has so many ideas in his mind that he doesn't even know where to start sometimes. He didn't just leave house decorating up to me; he played an active role in choosing furniture and paint colors because he cares about that stuff too. He has dreams of opening a design studio/art gallery in our town city because that's just what he's passionate about.

He is ridiculous, silly, and funny. He makes me laugh more than anyone else, and can cheer me up when I'm feeling down just by being himself. Yes, Chris is responsible and mature, but he's also really immature and that's awesome.

His smile makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, especially when it's that secret smile that lovers have :D

He loves me so much. He prays for me every day, and I know that it helps make my day better. He tells me every day that I'm beautiful, and he makes me feel really good about myself with his encouragement. He's also a great kisser ;)

He's becoming a great spiritual leader in our marriage, and he loves Jesus so much. His relationship with the Lord is really important to him. He loves worshipping in church, and he wants to become more involved in the body. We both feel like we were meant to live in a bigger city for the arts and culture, but we stay here for our families and our church.

He matches me so well. He's patient where I'm not. He's more analytical of things where I'm spontaneous. He's quiet and reserved in social settings, and I'm more of a social butterfly. He balances me in a perfect way. At the same time we're so alike. He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.

Christopher, I love you more and more every day, and I'm more than blessed to have a husband like you. I can't wait to spend the next 25 years of your life with you, watching you grow and become more of the man you were made to be.
