Giveaway winner announcement!

Good morning, my friends! It's Friday! And as promised, I am announcing the winner of my 100th post giveaway! I used the generator on Random.org, but I am sometimes technologically inept, so I didn't know how to screen capture the result. But here it is...

*drumroll*

Jasmine! You are my lucky winner!

Thanks to everyone who entered! I really wanted all of you to win, I really did. Maybe next time I'll have multiple offerings ;) Have a great weekend, everyone!

So long, and thanks for all the fish (haha nerdy moment here)

Yes, I am still breathing.

Yes, it is true, I am still alive and well. I graduated last week Sunday, and since then I have been busy busy with my new house! Chris and I have purchased a house, and on Friday he moved in. Since then we have been busy painting and getting everything into place. The previous owners had hideous colours, and what wasn't hideous looked worn and old. So we are just doing everything. So far, the kitchen is the only room that is done completely. Everything needs to be painted. Everything. Walls, baseboards, windowsills. Oh, it's terrible. We are doing an accent wall in our living room and we have put 5 coats of paint on that wall. Yes. Five. One of my best friends (and bridesmaid) came over today and helped us out. That was great. She is a maniac. It was 2 before we took a break at all. Now I am just exhausted from painting all day. But it feels good too. This weekend my whole family is going to the States to do some shopping, and I will be looking for curtains and stuff for our house then. I'll post pictures once it's all done :)

Thank God it's Friday! 2.5

Play along here!

1.   My favorite daily responsibility is  tidying up the house. I love to organize things, and everything has a place in my book.

2.  My least favorite daily responsibility is  loading the dishwasher. I'd actually rather wash the dishes by hand then load the dishwasher. I don't know what is wrong with me.

3.  My favorite cuisine to eat when going out is  Italian. I love me a good pasta. Mmm...

4.  My favorite cuisine to prepare at home is   Kraft Dinner... (Shhh...)

5.  Andy Warhol said that everyone is famous for 15 minutes. My claim to fame is   when I was graduating, my class went to an outdoor venue to take photos (I had a small class of 30 people). While we were there a cameraman from one of the tv stations came and filmed us, and we ended up as a random shot on a feature on drinking at grad. Haha it was so ironic because I went to a Christian high school and most of us were actually good Christian kids that didn't drink! Anyway, so I was on the news once!

6.  If I could have 3 wishes I would wish that I had the perfect job for me, that my wedding would all be planned already, and that I wouldn't have any more debt.

7.  My biggest pet peeve is  when people don't bring their shopping carts back to the cart return so that I can smash into them when I park in their now-vacated spots. I also hate when customers complain about the high gas price. I know how high it is. Shut up. I have to pay the same price as you. If you don't like it, stop driving.

I just have to say a big congrats today: one of my best friends got engaged last night!! I'm so happy for you, Theresa!!! Love you, Mama!

Today is also my last day with anything assignment related!!! Just finishing my final take-home exam and I'm done like dinner, baby!

Have an awesome weekend!!

100th post & guilty pleasures giveaway!

So the reason I have been silent lately is not for lack of post topics, nor lack of time to post. I have been quite busy lately with some big things - I am graduating on Sunday! I have bought a house with Chris and we get possession at the end of next week! The snow is gone! I am getting married in 64 days! Life is just generally exciting for me right now.

The reason that I haven't posted anything recently is because I wanted to have a giveaway for my 100th post, and I needed to actually go get some things to give away! I have done so, and here it is!

Well, let's say this is a celebration of spring, of graduation, of getting married and buying a house, of growing up. My theme for my items was my guilty pleasures, things that make me happy.

Featured in this photo (which is what the lucky winner will receive):
- a pack of spring-timey stationery, because duh this is sometimes a mail blog.
- Confessions of a Shopaholic, the first of one of my favorite book series.
- Lindt chocolates, because I am addicted to them.
- Revlon nailpolish, because I am naked if my nails are not painted. And guess what else, besides being an awesome colour, this polish is also scented. Yes, that is right. It smells like strawberries when it's dry. I bought orange for myself. Yum :)

So that's it, ladies! (Even if guys did read my blog, they wouldn't want this stuff lol) Now for the rules:

You must be a Google follower to enter. I feel lame if people enter giveaways and never read the blog again. Come on, be nice. If you don't like the blog then don't enter the giveaway! I will take it personally. (I take everything personally.) But just to clarify, new followers certainly are most welcome!!

So with that in mind, all you need to do (providing you are a follower) is to leave me a comment with some of your guilty pleasures, as well as your email so I can contact you if you win!

Ah, but it gets better! You can get extra entries for doing the following:
- follow me on Twitter
- tweet about this giveaway
- blog about this giveaway

Leave a separate comment for each of these. If you blog about it, be sure to put the link in the comment.

The giveaway closes at 12:00 pm, April 28. This is open to everyone! This is my first giveaway, so I hope you will enjoy!
