Playaway makes work happy.
Well, my friends, I have 2 days left at my job and then I'm out of there for good! Hurrah! Unfortunately, then I must find a real job. I've never really been unemployed before. I mean, I've been unemployed, but that was short term, or while I was a student. This is indefinitely. Scary business. So pray for me. I want a job that I can wear nice clothes to, and also where I can use my brain and talk to people. That's all I want. Simple, right?
Anyway, so the real reason for my post. A couple weekends ago Chris and I went to the public library, and I decided I needed some audio books. I figured I'd load 'em onto my iTunes, and then put them on my iPod. Then I found something that totally eliminated the need for that long process.
Introducing the Playaway audio book. This handy invention has made my work life better x100. So this is just your basic audio book, but it's on it's own little mp3 player-type device! Just plug in your headphones and go - simple as that! I chose books that I've never read before, so that it would be like killing two birds with one stone.
The books I've been "reading" the past week and a half:
This is another one that I would have preferred to read with my eyes. I'm so going as Hester Prynne for the next costume party I go to.
I've got some other books that I'll be listening to til the end of the week, and some other books that I'm reading with my eyes (hehe).
What are you reading these days?

Loved this one! Phileas Flogg reminded me of Sheldon Cooper.
I love you, Anne Shirley.
I fell in love with this book. (sorry for the crap picture)
This one bored me, honestly. This is one you need to read with your eyes, I think. Otherwise it just feels so repetitive. Also, Heathcliff is one of the worst literary characters (in terms of his personality/disposition) I have ever encountered and I loathed him. Sorry to anyone who feels differently.

Fill in the Blank Friday 2.10
1. My most favorite birthday was my 23rd (this one). I spent it with Chris and my friends at our house (even though I wasn't living there yet).
2. My worst birthday was my 18th. My family left me for the day, and none of my friends answered the phone. So I literally spent the whole day alone. It was the worst.
3. My favorite birthday memory is I dunno... Haven't had it yet.
4. The best birthday present I've ever received was hmmm... another good question I don't have the answer for.
5. The best birthday present I've ever given was gosh, how am I supposed to know?
6. Birthdays are awesome. Although mine don't usually turn out super special or anything. I'm hoping that one of these years I'll have a birthday that'll blow my brains out.
7. My favorite age so far has been 23 (aka the age I currently am). Being newly married will do that to a person, I think ;)

Last weekend in pictures
Hi :) So today has been a vast improvement since Wednesday and I feel like blogging. That's just how it goes with me sometimes. Maybe that has to do with the fact that I only worked a half day today. And that was because I wrote my last exam ever this morning! I finally finished my correspondence course, so now I just have to wait for my exam to be marked, and then get my transcript to my school. I'm kind of excited about this haha :D
I know it's the weekend, but I wanted to show you some pictures from last weekend. It was really fun and I spent it with friends. On Saturday my friend Estela and I went to the Pioneer days at the Mennonite Heritage Museum here in town. Neither of us had been in years, so we decided this summer was it.
Estela loves it too.
Going into the public school
This is the (sideways) mill. Totally the landmark of Steinbach and I can't even upload the picture right! Bugh! Oh well, it's awesome anyways.
Inside the mill. It was pretty windy that day so we actually got to see flour being ground. It was excellent.
These things were in every house. I want one.
I love llamas.
Shoemaker shop
Spinning yarn! Awesome!
An old school print shop for real! Oh I was so happy there! The letterpress machine was actually running so I got to see it in action. :D :D
This was in Steinbach's first store. Of course I honed in on the letters ;)
A sod house. I'd go crazy if I had to live in there but it's cool anyway.
This is like a traditional love poem, and there are actually 9 poems on there.
On Sunday we went to Grand Forks with some of my friends to do some shopping and have supper at Texas Roadhouse. I love steak!!! That was actually our main reason for going down there. But I found some sweet stuff too.
Chuck season 3 for $20!! Heck yes! And did you know they made Disney Apples to Apples? We had to get it.
Master Plan and Mint Candy Apple. I have Mint Candy Apple on right now and it makes me happy :D
Notebooks and a whale shaped notepad
Cheap cds. I like Snow Patrol a bunch, and I like some of Florence & the Machine's songs, but I'm not so sure about all of the lyrical content. Oh well. You live and learn.
I actually bought these at the museum gift shop. I put the ice cream in my office and the other one is for Christmas. Starting our ornament collection, I guess.
I bought this mug for Christopher at the museum as well. It's huge!
Lately I've been on a friendship bracelet-making kick, and I found this really cool tutorial on craftgawker. Check it:
So cool, right? And super easy! After I was done the bracelet on the "loom" I made one out of a yogurt container lid, and that's holding up even better. So just for future reference if you decide to try. And if you try I'd love to see the results!
Have a lovely weekend, my dears!

What you've all been waiting for...
We got our wedding pictures! Today I'm going to share some of the pictures we took at Chris' school.
This was when I was walking up behind Chris where he would see me for the first time. The look on his face was awesome :)
I adore this picture of my husband :D I'm pretty sure that smile is the reason that I fell for him.
Bridal party. We have the best friends.
Kissing :)
Serious faces.
