Good mail day (for others) 2.5

Hallelujah! It is a miracle! I have completely answered every letter in my pile waiting for a reply, as well as writing 2 new pen pals! I feel so good about myself right now because I have not managed to do that in a very long time!

Before I start with the letters, here is my letter holder that I made. It's made out of cardboard and a wire hanger bent into shape. It works, but someday I'd like something more sturdy.

A letter from a dear friend, the only incoming in several weeks. This letter was very lovely!! But I must get getting a landslide soon, no? :(

For Lindsay, who is adjusting to life in Korea.

I made a couple mix cds for Jasmine along with my letter to her.

Summer was my partner in Bianca's mix swap, and she sent me some very lovely things! I had to send her a thank you!

A thank you for Emilie's wonderful giveaway that I won a while back.

Going to the delightful Belen.

I sent Julia some wedding pictures, as I'm not sure if she reads my blog or not.

Mr Hedgehog going to Annie.

A lovely fall letter for Callie. I had a brain fart and wrote "non-machiaable" at first. Oops.

A note for dear Katyha.

First letters going out to Merissa and Kotona. I can't wait to hear back from them!

A pink note for my pink-hating friend Estela. I had a reason though - we'd just watched a Pink Panther movie together, so I wrote the letter on my Pink Panther stationery and had to have a pink envelope too! You see?

So lots of people should watch their mailboxes, and I'll keep watching mine :)

My home

Hi friends! I am finally posting some pictures of our house! Yay, go me! One of them is already outdated, with the bookshelves that I painted a couple days ago. But whatever. The rest is the same.

This is a picture of our house that I just had saved in my phone. It was on the house listing online, I think. Anyway, I didn't take it, but it looks the same so who cares.

::Our house when we moved in::

This was written on our bathroom door with a Sharpie. It came off with a Mr Clean magic eraser :)

This is our ugly bathroom. It's the only part of the house that hasn't been updated since it was built.

This is the master bedroom just after Chris moved in. I hated that shelf, floating in the middle of nowhere.

This is the kitchen. I absolutely hated this shade of blue. Ugh. Yes, my purse on the couch there is practically the same colour, but can you understand how terrible it looks on the walls? Can you understand that I am not a hypocrite??

::Our house after all the work::

A detail shot of our kitchen chairs after we upholstered them. I love this pattern soooo much!!!!
Our slightly less ugly bathroom. We repainted all the walls and cabinets, and bought a nice new shower curtain and rod. So at least I can hide the ugly tub when I'm not in it :)

Our master bedroom. I really love the wall colour. It makes me happy.

This is my office. I was debating between painting it green or purple, and I kind of wish I'd gone with purple. But nonetheless, I still like it. (I may paint it in a year or two, who knows?)

Chris' office. It's just flipped from mine so I only took one picture of it :P Well, he doesn't have bookshelves, he has his computer desk there.

Our kitchen. I wish I had more counter space for baking and cooking, but it's okay. Someday I'll have a bigger kitchen :)

This is our living room. I am in love with our orange wall. As you can see, we haven't put much artwork up, but that will happen eventually. Chris is planning on doing some pieces for the dining area and our bedroom. Oh, also the two end bookshelves are the ones I painted. Chris' younger brother made them, and they were never painted. So I just painted them a chocolate brown (a bit lighter than the fireplace unit) so they would look more finished. And they do. Success!

And that is our house! I hope you enjoyed my "virtual tour" haha.

Wedding photos - reception

Next in the series of wedding pictures, the reception! Everyone told me how they had a good time, which made me really happy. I didn't want to have a boring wedding. But apparently ours was memorable, so that's awesome :) (haha boosts my ego a bit, that's for sure!)

 Walking back in.
Close up bouquet shot. White lilies, yellow roses, coral gerbra daisies.
 Coming in for a kiss.
We played the shoe game! That was fun!
 My parents
 My in-laws.
Sharing a secret smile ;)

Have a lovely day, my friends!

Wedding photos - ceremony

I thought it was high time that I post more pictures of my wedding! This is how the room was set up - we had everything in just one room, and I was so happy we decided to do it that way. Main reason - it was cheaper, both in regards to renting spaces and decorations. Also, I am lazy and did not want to do two rooms. And lastly, this gave me a good excuse to avoid having a receiving line! Golly, I hate receiving lines. I usually skip out on them unless I'm really close to one or both of the couple. Anyway. Don't worry, we didn't ignore our guests! Chris and I went around to every table during the meal to say hi and chat with our guests. It made it way less stressful for me.

Chris' parents being escorted in by his older brother.
 Waiting for me.
 Here I am!
I love this picture - breath of relief!
 Le boys
 Ze ladies

Prayer of blessing - love it!!
My friend Kameika singing Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk. I think Kameika is better :)

We are married now!!

So that's the ceremony for you! I hope you enjoy :)
