FITBF 3.6

1.  Over this labor day weekend I will be     working on Saturday, going to my parents' on Sunday, and hopefully not leaving my house at all on Monday   .

2.  With the political debates going on right now, my thoughts are    I'm Canadian so I don't really care    .

3.  Today    I have to work from 1 til 9, and I am not looking forward to it  .

4. The best thing I've cooked recently was      a chicken garden salad, and a chocolate cake (which is baking, yes) .

5. The last thing I bought was    groceries. And some pens. Staples is a dangerous place to work when you have a pen fetish .

6. The best movie I saw this summer was    The Amazing Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield kicks Tobey Maguire's you-know-what. So good  .

7.  The best book I read this summer was    either the first 2 Matched books by Ally Condie, or Cinder by Marissa Meyer   .

Wow, it's been a while since I filled in the blanks. Lauren has since changed the format, and I'm okay with that. I really like her prompt today, so I decided to participate.

"If I could get away for the day, I would go..."

Nowhere.

This is my house. I would stay here.

The past two weeks have been so crazy busy that I haven't had much time for myself. It was actually just last week that I realized that I am an introvert (okay, Chris pointed it out to me) and that I need time to myself to function properly. So if I could get away for the day, I would stay in my house with my cats. I would write letters, watch lovely movies that Chris has no interest in watching with me (i.e. Pride & Prejudice, The Young Victoria, Roman Holiday...) and maybe even bake some cupcakes. It would be so perfect. I would make something new for supper, and then after I would force Chris to help me with the dishes, we would probably end up playing some Super Mario Bros. or reading on the couch. That's what I would do to get away.

1.  My favorite room in my home is    the living room   because    it's where Chris and I hang out the most .

2.   My current decor style is    undefined... probably cozy, a little bit rustic, and colorful   but I wish it were more     refined .

3.  I wish I could redecorate the    bathroom   room in my house to make it more    up to date. And I want to put a bigger tub in there!

4. My dream house absolutely has to have a    a nice deep bathtub in a master bathroom. I love a nice long soak .

5. One house item I am willing to splurge on is    the bed. A good mattress is critical!

6. A decor trend that I just don't "get" is    neon or plastic. Yuck .

7.   Pictures and art   are a little touch that makes my house feel like home.

FITBF 3.3

Hi blog. Sorry I've been neglecting you lately. Life doesn't feel very organized lately. I'll get on that.

Today's blanks are cool because on Wednesday Chris and I celebrated our 2 year dating anniversary. I'll tell you about it next time :)

1.  The love of my life is   Christopher (and Jesus).

2.   Falling in love is   not something that happens at first sight. It happens over time, and real love takes some time to develop. It's not like movies, but it's better than that  .

3.  Marriage is   not always easy, but it's wonderful .

4. The longest relationship I've ever had was  2 years .

5. The key to a good relationship is  communication and putting the other ahead of yourself .

6. I feel loved when   you spend time with me, or do something for me that lets me know you were thinking about me  .

7.  My favorite quote about love is   "Love me when I least deserve it because that's when I need it most" . (I couldn't think of another one that had to do with romantic love!)

1.   If money wasn't an issue, the first thing I'd cross of my life list is     travel to Europe. I'd want to go to England, France, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Sweden, and more   .

2.    Ice cream in -40C weather     is something I like that other people think is weird.

3.  If my life were a movie right now, the title would be     "You've Got Mail" because every day this week I've gotten at least one piece of mail and it's awesome :)      .

4.  Three things I am looking forward to this month are     my worship team singing at a wedding next weekend    ,    my 2-year dating anniversary with Chris   and     planning something special for Chris' birthday at the end of the month   .

5.  My favorite song to sing in the shower is   Black Hole by She & Him. I have no idea why, but I automatically sing it  .

6.  If I found out that the production of     Honey Nut Cheerios    was ending this month, I'd go out and buy as much as I could tomorrow.

7.  One thing I'll never grow tired of is    hanging out with my husband. I like him pretty much always  .

1.   One of my favorite things to do when I have free time is  snuggle up on the couch with Chris and read a book.

2.   When I have free time I tend to  be lazy and spend hours on Pinterest or other such sites. Sometimes I clean my house but not that often haha.

3.   If I had an entire day completely to myself I would  eat some breakfast, then pack up journals, books, and letters; drive into the city and park myself in a comfy chair at the Starbucks in the Chapters for the afternoon. Lunch might be at George's Burgers or whatever I have a craving for. After I had my fill of writing, I would wander the mall a bit, then come home. I'd have some supper and watch a cheesy chick flick to end my day.

4.  I would prefer to spend my free time (alone or with others...)  I usually spend it alone, but I love my friends too. They just don't have as much free time as me.

5.  Most of my free time happens  during the week, after work or on my days off.

6.  The best thing about free time is  not having to fulfill any goals, and that I can just do whatever I want.

7.  The next time I have free time I should probably  run some bank errands and make some phone calls but instead, I'll probably   take a nap.

Fill in the Blank Friday 2.18

1.   A nervous habit I have is  biting my nails/chewing on them til they get all jaggedy and painful.

2.   Something that makes me sad is the fact that 90% of people that grow up in the church will leave it by the time they are 25 .

3.  Today I am thankful for  grey skies and snow, hot chocolate, snuggly cats, and lots of letters to write .

4. My favorite room in my house is  my living room. Comfy couches where Chris and I hang out with our cats .

5.  I can't stand  listening to top 40 music because most of it is just crappy lyrics. It drives me nuts.

6.  If I had an extra $100 to spend on whatever I wanted today I would  buy a nice pair of boots that were stylish and warm. I need a new pair of boots, but I just can't bring myself to spend that much on a pair even though it's a necessary investment in this climate.

7.  The last person I hung out with was  my friend Estela. We went shopping, saw Puss in Boots (which was quite good!) and got our first Starbucks holiday drinks of the season.

Hi kids. Yes, I'm still here. I don't have much to say these days. At least anything that would be interesting to the internet. But here I am, once again.

1.   When I was a kid I wanted to be      a librarian    when I grew up.

2.   As an adult, my dream job would be   a book editor (and also being a mama of 4 kids would be sweet)      .

3.  W hen I was younger I wanted to be just like  my mom, probably. I don't remember   .

4. The childhood Halloween costume that I remember most was when I was  Don't do Halloween. Never have, never will. I don't like it.

5.  My favorite childhood toy was    Barbies. My sister and I would build elaborate house layouts and play for hours  .

6.  The time I got into the biggest amount of trouble when I was a kid was when I     Oh this will sound bad, but when I was 9 or something my friend passed me a note and we got caught. The note said something mean about our teacher (my friend hated our teacher. I didn't.) so we both got in trouble. I was mad because there was no way I could have prevented this situation. I mean, you can't refuse a note. I didn't know what it said until I read it. I'm not bitter :P      .

7.  I get daily inspiration from    books, blogs, the hubs  .

1.   Something popular that I can't stand/just don't "get" is      leggings as pants, especially the sheer ones! Honestly!   .

2.   Something unpopular that I secretly love is    playing Super Smash Bros. Wii with my husband       .

3.  When I've had a bad day I   grab a cold Pepsi, my current read (the one I enjoy most, anyway) and hide under blankets on the couch   .

5.  Something that makes me nervous is    having to choose a career for the rest of my life .

6.  Something worth fighting for is     marriage. Marriage is God's idea, and that alone makes it worth it. Never mind all the other awesome stuff about it. I could go on for a while about my stance on this, but you might get bored :P   .

7.  When people think of me, I hope they think    "She is a kind, gentle soul who makes me laugh and inspires me to get closer to Jesus."  .

1.   My current obsession is      nail polish. Stationery. But those are kind of always all the time  .

1.   The best thing I did all week was     actually paint the bookshelves I've been meaning to paint for about 4 months.
